Adamawa State police command has on Wednesday reiterated its stand to ensure all essential workers are exempted from restriction of movement.

A statement by the image maker of the state police command, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje made available to newsmen indicated that essential workers including medical personnel, firefighters, ambulance services, journalists etc are exempted from restriction of movement.

“All essential workers including Medical Personnel, Firefighters, Ambulance Services, Journalists, etc are exempted from the restriction of movement associated with the partial lockdown and the national curfew across the States.

“The commissioner of police, Olugbenga Adeyanju, has therefore directed all area commanders, divisional police officers and operational commands to give effect to these exemptions whilst enforcing the restriction order.

“The command further advises the essential service personnel to always take the pains of introducing themselves to the security personnel they may come across whilst enforcing the restriction orders,” the statement said.
