Opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, has promised to send the Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s led PDP government packing come 2023, adding that it will soon embark on aggressive membership drive.

Making the pledge during a courtesy call on the party secretariat by its National Assembly caucus, the chairman of the party, Ibrahim Bilal said, the party is pooling its strength and making all the needed touches to ensure wresting power from PDP come 2023.

The national assembly caucus who paid the courtesy call are; Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, Hon Yusuf captain Buba, Hon. Abdulrazaq Namdas and Hon. Jafar Abubakar Magaji.

Bilal who commended the quartet for the unity of purpose they have forged, urged other party leaders to emulate them noting that if such spirit is pursued, wresting power from PDP is a small task.

“We are greatly honoured by this spirit of camaraderie. We have eight reps members from Adamawa State in the house of representatives, the only ones that are shining are the three from APC.

“We urge you to maintain the tempo and even increase your strides. We have taken note of the various interventions you brought to your constituencies and the sterling roles you are playing on the floors of the two chambers. We are pleasantly happy with your performance” he said.

Bilal noted that the party has been winning a lot of hearts in recent times due to the confidence it is building with the people of the state.

“Our members who left the party are coming back in droves from the PDP. The feat follows six months of negotiations between us and them.

“People like Bala Nggilari and Titsi Ganama, who fought and ensured the defeat of APC are now back into our fold.

“They are not here to take our seats but are here because they believe in us and also know that we’ll treat them fairly.

“We are also in talks with people from Mubi and many other areas. In short we are going to woe back all of our people that are in other places,” he said.

Earlier, leader of the group, Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, told the party that the quartet were at the Secretariat to commiserate with the party over the death of Aliyu Bakari who was the immediate past vice chairman Adamawa central of the party.

Another reason for the visit, according to Binani, is the desire to renew their loyalty and commitment to ensure that the party continues to wax stronger in the state.

She noted that the national assembly caucus will continue to accord the Maimala Buni leadership the needed support to ensure that the APC keeps its flag flying.

Binani added that their caucus will ensure that the bond of unity in the party remains unbreakable and will work hand in hand with other appointees in the federal cabinet like SGF and the FCT minister to ensure that the party gets its fair share in the scheme of things.

She urged party members to work in unison from the ward, local government, state and federal levels to ensure seamless flow of information urging them not to hesitate in escalating any concern in the party to the appropriate quarters for mediation.

She urged party members to shun the antics of fifth columnist who are hell bent in causing disaffection in order to destroy the successes so far recorded by the party.
