A former commissioner for local government in Adamawa State and a renowned philanthropist, Alhaji Danjuma Jalo is dead.
According to a close associate of the late commissioner, Alhaji Barkindo Abdullahi, Jalo died after a brief illness at his house in Jimeta at the age of 58.
“He was hale and hearty this morning but he later fell sick and died around 7:00pm today,” he said.
His burial will take place by 9:00am at central mosque tsohon Kasuwa, Jimeta, Yola North, the state capital.
According to Barkindo, the deceased left behind wife and four children.
