DSP Mujeli Ahidjo, the police officer in charge of Mubi North Division in Adamawa State kidnapped on November 19 has regained his freedom.
A source close to the family of the police officer informed FOMBINA TIMES that the released DPO is presently at Mubi receiving sympathizers and well-wishers.
The source declined to disclose how much was paid in ransom of the DPO but according to him, money was paid to the kidnappers before he was released.
On the other hand, the Adamawa State Police Command, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said Operation Puff Ader/Operation Farauta in its efforts has rescued the DPO from the hands of his abductors.
