Coronavirus: We didn’t impose curfew, Adamawa govt tells residents

The Adamawa state government has refuted the rumours that it has imposed curfew to combat spread of coronavirus in the state.

The state government expressed sadness over what it called “misguided information going viral that it imposed a curfew across the state to curb the spread of covid-19 starting From Tomorrow 28th of March 2020.”

In a statement on Friday, Muhammad B Tukur, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on new media said the information is baseless, untrue and mischievous and called on people to disregard it in totality.

“Government calls on all citizens to await for authentic information from government genuine sources regarding the novel COVID-19 pandemic as it has already set up a technical committee in that regard,” the statement added.
