COVID-19: Adamawa Assembly suspends sitting till further notice

In a move to strengthen the prevention and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Adamawa State house of assembly has resolved to shut down the assembly complex till further notice.

A statement signed by the clerk of the assembly, Musa Ahmed Gaude, noted that committee activities will continue in strict compliance with measures put by authorities to ensure safety of all.

The statement said: “This is to announce that the Leadership of the Adamawa State House of Assembly has approved the suspension of plenary until further notice.

“However, committee activities shall continue with strict adherence to guidelines on measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.”
