Former governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna has expressed empathy and deep shock over the death of Danjuma Jalo who served the governor as his commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs and later commissioner for youth and sports.
Haruna who described Jalo as dependable ally said deceased will be sorely missed by all especially the numerous people whose lives he impacted.
“The news of the demise of Alhaji Danjuma Jalo came to me as a shock. This is another painful exit.
“Danjuma was a member of the State Executive Council and a Commissioner for Local Government Affairs and later Youth and Sports.
“He was a dependable ally, generous and well connected to the grassroots. As a dependable ally, he made it a point of duty to inform me of any of his political moves.
“Danjuma was a man of the people. He was humble, accessible and compassionate. He will be greatly missed for his struggle to see to the development of Adamawa State which he had served in various capacities.
“I offer my condolences to his immediate family, his former colleagues in the State Executive Council, the District Head of Jimeta and the entire Jimeta community, the government and people of Adamawa State,” Haruna said.
