Just In: Adamawa COVID-19 active cases hit 42

About a fortnight after Adamawa State was declared COVID-19 free, the state is currently witnessing an unprecedented wave of infections which peaked at 42 on Sunday as data by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control shows.

In its a daily update on Sunday 28 March, 2020, NCDC reported 11 new cases of the coronavirus infections in Adamawa.

With this latest report, Adamawa now has 42 active cases of the COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 490 new cases have been confirmed nationwide with 7 deaths recorded. This brings the number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 24, 567.

Out of that number, 9007 have been discharged while 565 deaths have been recorded since March 2020.
