Adamawa Lockdown, COVID-19

The number of COVID-19 patients discharged in Adamawa spiked to 13 on Friday as the state government announced the discharge of eight more patients after successful treatment according to a post by George Kushi, a media aide of the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State.

Kushi quoted Adamawa State commissioner of health, professor Abdullahi Isa as saying that the patients were discharged after testing negative for two consecutive times in line with NCDC protocols.

The index case and four others were first discharged after testing negative in an elaborate occasion in which the governor showered platitudes on frontline health workers.

With the discharge of 13 patients, the state has only 8 active cases now and has so far recorded no death from the deadly virus.
