The sleepy Kabomo village of Bakori local government area in Katsina state has been thrown into shock as a dead body of a 35-year-old man simply identified as Badamasi Musa was on Thursday morning seen hanging on a Mango tree.
Local sources attributed the suicide incident committed by the man to his inability to win the heart of a lady in the village.
The deceased, a farmer himself who also engages in other small businesses, got frustrated after he could not secure the hand of his lover whose name is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
“This morning as villages were heading to farms, his body was found hanging by the tree which was cut loose and reported to police,” a source said.
The state police command spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the development, saying details shall be provided in due course.
According to the Police, “today at about 10:00hrs, one Badamasi Alh. Musa, m, aged 35yrs of Kabomo village, Bakori LGA of Katsina state, known to be suffering from mental illness, was found to have hanged himself with a rope on a tree in a nearby bush.
