PDP storms Adamawa as Atiku declares presidential ambition

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held a massive Mega Rally at Mahmud Ribadu square, Yola the Adamawa state capital on Saturday.

The event is majorly aimed at the former Vice President, Waziri Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar to declare his presidential aspiration under the platform of the party and to garner support from the people of the North-East and his home state, Adamawa in particular.

It was a magnificent event at the state capital of Adamawa as the PDP organized a mega rally to welcome new members who abscond from other political parties in the state and to flag off their candidates and garner support from the people of Adamawa state.

In his speech at the event, the former Vice President disclosed that he has returned to ‘’reclaim what rightly belongs to the PDP”, emphasizing that the reign of APC is a failure, in his words, “they have failed to unite Nigerians, today we are more divided than at any time in the history of Nigeria

The APC government destroyed our economy; they have taken over from an economic growth of 7% and brought it down to less than 2%”.

The Waziri Adamawa also jabbed at the current insecurity of the nation, saying; “We are witnessing the most insecure atmosphere in Nigeria ever since its existence, more people have died during the reign of APC than in Iran or Afghanistan”, asking rhetorically to the people, “is that what you want?”

He assured the crowd that the PDP if voted will ensure development in those three major sectors; security, economy and National unity.

The mammoth crowd at the event is remarkable and was attended by different campaign organizations and various support groups from all over the country and others from within Adamawa state waving posters  of several gubernatorial and senatorial caspirants of their choices, in a demonstration of loyalty and political solidarity to the presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar.

In his keynote address to the crowd, the state PDP chairman amplified the failures of the ruling party and promised to foster practical solutions to the whole nation if voted.

“The APC has failed in all ramifications. The APC has failed to provide security, economy, and the officials are swimming in corruption…” said Uche Secondus, in his remarks he claimed that the ruling APC will be wiped out by the PDP in a few weeks across the nation.

The mammoth crowd present at the event demonstrated raucous enthusiasm and promised to vote for the peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming election.

Prominent dignitaries present at the event includes the Wazirin Adamawa himself, The national PDP chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, former governor and current gubernatorial aspirant, Umar Fintiri, and the state PDP chairman AT Shehu.

Elder Orubebe, Senator Ben Bruce, Deputy Governors from the neighboring Taraba and Gombe states and many other stakeholders of the PDP from all over the Nation was also present at the Mega Rally.
