In a move to provide an avenue for indigent students to have access to education at tertiary level, the senator representing Adamawa South Senatorial zone, Binos Yaroe has concretized plans to commence payment of scholarship to students across the senatorial zone.
The senator announced his plans when he received leadership of the Youth Wing of Bwatiye Community Devt Association, Abuja Chapter, who paid him a solidarity visit to his office, in Abuja, Thursday.
The senator similarly assured the group, that plans are underway to introduce ‘skills acquisition training’ to boost self-employment among the youth of the zone, in addition to the ‘scholarship scheme’ which is about to take off very soon.
He equally pledged to use his influence as a Member, Senate Committee on ‘Solid Minerals Development’, and include the exploration of the Guyuk Cement Factory in the 2020 fiscal budget.
In his response, chairman of the group who led other executive members of the Association, Mr Lofty Tahula congratulated the Legislator on his well-deserved election to the Apex Chamber, adding that the laudable peoples’ oriented programmes he kick-started have been well noted by the constituents.
Tahula said his group has no doubt that the senator has the capacity and the will to take the constituency to the promised land before the end of his first tenure.
The group pleaded with the Senator to influence ‘federal projects’ including schools and industries to Numan Federation and indeed the Southern zone, to ameliorate youth restiveness through employment.
The Association later presented a ‘giant customised roller band’ to the senator as a symbol of honour and respect for him.
