Few weeks after he distributed empowerment package to 150 beneficiaries, the senator representing Adamawa South senatorial zone, Binos Dauda Yaroe, has again empowered no fewer than 150 constituents in his second empowerment drive at Mayo Belwa local government area of the state.
Various empowerment items including grinding machines, water pumps, knapsack sprayers, machetes and rain boots were distributed to the teeming beneficiaries.
Thirty grinding machines were given to 30 women, while 120 people got water pump machines, knapsack sprayers, machetes and rain boots.
In addition to that the senator availed N5,000 cash to each beneficiary to cater for his transportation expenditure.
Speaking during the occassion, Yaroe said, the latest phase of empowerment was a slightly different from the last one noting that this one mainly involved women and the aged who have an existing trade.
He added, that the package is not much but will help the people who are into dry farming season and women who are into small scale businesses.
Yaroe appealed to the beneficiaries not to sell the items given to them but to use them for the purpose they are meant for.
